Your Key Responsibilities

We are hiring a seasoned HR leader to shape and strengthen the Industrial Relations and Human Capital strategy for our Talegaon manufacturing plant.

This role is designed for a highly mature professional who can balance strategic foresight with operational excellence while fostering a stable, collaborative, and high‑performance work environment.

As the General Manager – IR & HR, you will serve as the strategic custodian of our plant’s industrial climate, workforce capability, and organizational culture.

Reporting to the CHRO – India you will lead critical IR engagements, oversee HR operations, and ensure statutory compliance while closely partnering with leadership to drive business outcomes

Industrial Relations Leadership

Champion a constructive and trust‑based industrial environment through proactive union engagement.

Lead long‑term settlements, MOU & bonus negotiations, wage discussions, and Charter of Demand management.

Provide strong legal stewardship across grievance handling, disciplinary matters, and court cases, including high‑stakes litigation.

Strategic HR Management

Drive end‑to‑end HR operations at the site, covering TA, L&D, performance cycles, compensation processes, and engagement forums.

Partner with site leadership to align people strategies with Schaeffler India’s business objectives.

Influence workforce planning for OG/SSG/TEW categories, ensuring capability, cost, and productivity balance.

Governance, Compliance & Administration

Ensure complete compliance with all labor statutes, regulatory norms, and contractor management requirements.

Oversee plant administration functions, canteen operations, welfare committees, medical center, time office, and safety-related liaison.

Maintain strong relationships with government bodies, legal authorities, consultants, and external stakeholders.

Culture Building & Employee Experience

Embed a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.

Lead site-wide engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and communication forums that strengthen belonging and performance.

Your Qualifications

 

20+ years of progressive experience in HR, IR, ER & Admin within large manufacturing environments is a must. Proven leadership experience (minimum 5+ years) in multi-union, unionized plants. Deep legal acumen with exposure in handling of Court cases. Strong command of English and Marathi  languages; exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Graduate or Law Graduate with Post‑Graduation in HR / Law  is required.
