General Manager (Director), GPO Services - CuraScript Specialty Distribution (CSD) - Remote

The General Manager (Director) of GPO Services leads Matrix GPO strategy and operations, driving member value, contract compliance, and financial success. This role oversees business process optimization, complex supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational, commercial, and financial KPIs. As a subject matter expert, the Director manages large accounts, develops strategies for contract utilization, and ensures efficient execution across internal teams.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement GPO strategies aligned with enterprise goals.Drive contract performance and market competitiveness through data-driven insights.

Relationship Management

Serve as the primary liaison with GPOs, health authorities, and key decision-makers.Build and maintain strong partnerships to enhance member value.

Business Operations

Oversee process optimization (e.g., Order-to-Cash), ensuring standardization and compliance.Develop technology roadmaps to support procurement and operational efficiency.

Financial & Performance Management

Monitor market dynamics and purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities.Manage KPIs and deliver measurable economic value to members and clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with sales, marketing, IT, legal, and finance to ensure cohesive GPO engagement.Align sourcing strategies with Evernorth leadership and enterprise objectives.

Team Development

Coach and mentor staff to foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.Provide direction for staffing and resource allocation.

Contract Negotiation & Compliance

Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all agreements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in healthcare or supply chain.Expertise in GPO operations, RFP processes, and contract negotiation required.Strong project management and stakeholder influence skills.Proven ability to lead teams and manage matrix resources.Financial acumen for budgeting and forecasting.Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.Ability to travel up to 50%.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 165,000 - 275,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
