GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER

Key Responsibilities:

Lifting, positioning, and moving workpieces to assist with fitting and weldingOperating saws, grinders, and other tools to cut, shape, and prepare materialsOperation of various shop fabrication shop machinery such as drill presses, milling machines and Sandblast BoothWorking under the guidance of experienced fabricators and adhering to technical drawingsHelp move and organize materials, including loading and unloading raw materials and maintaining work supplies.Following safety procedures and guidelines while working in the fabrication shop

Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ years of related experienceBasic mechanical aptitude: A basic understanding of how tools and machines work.Attention to detail: The ability to carefully follow instructions and maintain precision in fabrication tasks.Physical fitness: The ability to lift and move materials as needed.Willingness to learn: A positive attitude and a desire to learn new skills and techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

Prior fabrication experience or completion of a relevant trade school or technical programExperience with reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics.

Secret security clearance required or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Must be a US Citizen
