**Aerotek is currently hiring for General Maintenance Technician in Washington D.C.!** **IMPORTANT NOTE - This role requires you to work outside 90% of the time. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors.** **Responsibilities** + Change lightbulbs and perform electrical repairs, focusing on ballasts. + Paint bathrooms, offices, parking lines, walls, and other areas as needed. + Replace doorknobs and locks, and hang items. + Clean up spills, with a focus on oil spills. + Complete daily work order lists and update supervisors on task status. + Conduct general maintenance checks on equipment, including tire pressure and battery charging. + Provide excellent customer service to all customers. + Perform plumbing tasks, such as unclogging toilets. + Walk the facility to identify maintenance needs and collaborate with quality assurance to improve the facility. + Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. **Essential Skills** + Punctuality and reliability. + Weekend availability, potentially working Friday through Sunday. + Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to change ballasts and use hand tools. + Experience in electrical, plumbing, and parking garage maintenance. + Knowledge of HVAC and preventive maintenance. + 4+ years of maintenance experience. + 1+ years of experience working in different weather conditions. + Ability to multitask and manage work orders. **Available Schedules** : + 6am-2:30pm + 2pm-10:30pm **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working with work order tickets. **Why Work Here?** This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement, including the potential to become an Assistant Facilities Manager.
