Job Description

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will communicate with individuals or groups both verbally and in writing, including customers, suppliers, and associates. You will complete work orders, records, logs, and other documents in accordance with established procedures. Your role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various equipment, such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, and more. Additionally, you will operate material handling equipment and maintain the cleanliness of grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with individuals or groups both verbally and in writing.Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documents following established procedures.Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment like lift trucks and hydraulic equipment.Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered machinery.Maintain cleanliness of grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities.Assist other maintenance technicians in equipment repair and maintenance.Troubleshoot basic equipment problems where repairs are visible or obvious.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year's experience in repairing or maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting.2 years' related vocational training.Preferred: 1 year's experience in an industrial setting.

Work Environment

Our work environment includes a weekend/night shift schedule from Saturday to Monday, working 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours a week with a 30-minute lunch break. You may work with substances requiring special handling and be exposed to varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold, as well as wet or drafty conditions. The role requires movement over uneven surfaces, working at heights, and spending extended periods both indoors and outdoors. High noise levels may require hearing protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.45 - $30.45/hr.
