General Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician available to work from 8am to 5pm, Sunday through Saturday, as needed for operations. The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and other trade-related duties.

ResponsibilitiesPerform minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and other trade work.Conduct maintenance, repair, and renovation as per approved work requests, codes, and specifications.Research costs of materials, labor, and equipment needed for work requests and collaborate with supervisors to ensure budget compliance.Obtain proper materials and equipment to execute work requests.Order and manage supplies and materials for routine repairs and maintenance.Utilize tools and equipment, including power tools, adhering to established safety rules and requirements.Review special, non-routine work requests with supervisors to assess feasibility, costs, time required, and priority.Coordinate specialized work requests to be completed by outside vendors or contractors as directed.Perform housekeeping, maintenance, and repair duties to maintain safe and sanitary work conditions.Assist with pest control efforts.Investigate reports of damage or breakdown of equipment and facilities to determine and rectify causes.Perform inspections, conduct tests, maintain documentation, and coordinate repair for emergency eyewash and deluge shower equipment, fire extinguishers, departmental first aid kits, and consult with the Safety Officer as necessary.Essential SkillsElectrical maintenanceCarpentryPlumbingSmall equipment repairService skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsTwo years of experience in basic carpentry, electrical maintenance, plumbing, small equipment repair, and other trades.Ownership of basic hand tools.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $25.36/hr.
