General Ledger Analyst

Job Description

Experience: 3–5 years in R2R/GL Accounting in a BPO or Shared Services environment 
Qualification: Studying Finance, Audit, economics +3 years/Graduate/Postgraduate in Accounting or Finance 
Shift: Mo-Fr daylight 44 hours (US client support) 
Tools: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP); Excel advanced functions 

Key Responsibilities: 

Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of month-end close. 

Perform GL account reconciliations and variance analysis. 

Support intercompany transactions, fixed asset accounting, and prepayments. 

Assist in preparing financial statements and client reporting packs. 

 

BPO Focus Areas: 

Meet monthly close timelines (e.g., Day 3 or Day 5 close) and quality standards. 

Maintain SOX/internal controls compliance and audit readiness. 

Engage in standardization and process transformation projects. 

Communicate with client finance teams to explain balances, variances, and adjustments.
