We are seeking a dedicated General Labor Associate to assist with routine plant operations, including material handling and equipment monitoring. This role involves unloading organic waste, depalletizing and unpackaging materials as necessary, and inspecting incoming loads to sort and separate organic materials and contaminants according to company procedures.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with routine plant operations, including material handling and equipment monitoring.Unload organic waste, depalletizing and unpackaging materials as needed.Inspect incoming loads, sort and separate organic materials and contaminants according to company procedures.Perform general maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs such as sweeping, power-washing, trash/debris/snow removal, and regular sanitation of machinery, equipment, and work areas.Perform entry-level maintenance tasks, identifying and reporting maintenance and safety issues to appropriate personnel.Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Provide support to machine operators, maintenance mechanics, customers, and others as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager on duty to ensure smooth operation of the facility.Essential SkillsExperience in receiving, shipping, warehouse distribution, documentation control.Skills in packing, cleaning, loading, material handling, machine operation.General labor and production skills.Ability to handle packaging and materials handling tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School General Education Degree or equivalent.Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or industrial setting preferred.Basic understanding of safety procedures and ability to follow instructions.Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.Why Work Here?Join a great growing company in Jessup, MD that is expanding its site, offering opportunities for advancement and excellent benefits once permanent.
Work EnvironmentThis role is situated at our new state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion facility in Jessup, Maryland. The Tipping Floor Technician will be responsible for receiving and processing organic waste, which will produce renewable natural gas at the facility. Responsibilities include safely and efficiently directing transportation vehicles, inspecting loads, and operating heavy equipment to receive liquid and solid organic waste materials and introducing them into the system for processing.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
