Job Title: Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the machine operator or production team across various functions, including maintenance, yard work, warehouse duties, and material handling. This role involves working in a repetitive and sequential manner to complete assigned tasks, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area, and adhering to all safety regulations. This role will involve general labor and pays $18 - $19 an hour and is on the 2nd shift only.

Responsibilities

Assist designated machine operator or production team with maintenance, clean-up, yard work, warehouse, production, utilities, and material handling.Handle assignments in a repetitive and sequential order.Maintain cleanliness of the work area and use security gear at all times.Report unsafe conditions or defective equipment immediately to the supervisor.Clean machinery and conveyors, maintaining the surrounding area free of debris.Transport trash and debris from production areas.Ensure pallets are kept neat and orderly.Operate machinery or equipment as instructed, adhering to safety guidelines.Assist lead operator in preparing for shift production and become knowledgeable about machine mechanics and operations.Operate various hand tools and assist in truck loading/unloading.Complete shipping/receiving documents and package and label products accurately.Handle stockpiles and verify loads leaving the premises.Maintain, verify, and count product inventory.Perform other duties as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis.

Essential Skills

Experience with concrete, labor, construction, precast, production, assembly, steel forms, rebar, and blueprints.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Familiarity with hand tools and machinery operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Industrial experience is preferred.Experience in concrete or precast is highly desirable.Familiarity with companies such as Pavestone, Shea Precast, CSI - Concrete Systems INC, Jolly Precast is a plus.

Work Environment

This is an industrial work environment where safety is a priority. Candidates should have steel toe shoes and dress according to safety standards. The role involves working both inside and outside, primarily on the 2nd shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
