**Job Title: General Laborer - 2nd Shift (2 PM - 12 AM)** **Job Description** As a Material Handler in Metal Manufacturing, you will be responsible for safely moving raw materials, coils, and finished metal parts throughout the facility. You will support production by delivering materials to workstations, organizing inventory, completing documentation, and operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Your role ensures a clean, efficient workflow and contributes to a safe, high-performance manufacturing environment. **Responsibilities** + Manage and transport in-plant materials efficiently and safely. + Pick up and deliver raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and packaging supplies between production and shipping areas. + Load metal coils for production. + Return properly identified materials to designated inventory locations. + Dispose of scrap materials according to established procedures. + Complete required identification and inventory documentation. + Successfully complete the company’s forklift certification program. + Conduct pre-shift inspections of assigned forklift equipment and maintain accurate records. + Plan and coordinate movement of materials to support production schedules. + Maintain neat, organized material storage and work areas. + Support production operators with timely delivery of parts, containers, and supplies. + Perform additional duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + General labor experience. + Machine operation skills. + General production knowledge. + Forklift operation. + Packing expertise. + 2+ years of consistent work history. + 2 years in metal material handling. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1-2+ years of prior manufacturing experience. + Machine operating experience is strongly preferred. + At least one reference from a recent job. + Experience with high volume product movement. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, along with a 401(k) with profit sharing. The second shift operates from 2 PM to 12 AM, Monday through Thursday.
