**Job Title: General Laborer** Job Description Join our team as a General Laborer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will support machine operators and contribute to the efficient running of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities + Aid and assist machine operators in bringing materials to the equipment. + Work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols. + Limit scrap waste, deliver waste to the appropriate department when the scrap truck is full, and accurately tag for waste reporting. + Perform minor janitorial tasks, including sweeping floors and taking out the garbage. Essential Skills + 2 years of high-speed package operating experience. + Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler accurately, and perform basic shop math. + Work efficiently in a high-speed packaging environment, with skills in packaging and labeling. + Lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the day. Although the facility is not climate-controlled, it is well ventilated. Safety is a priority, with PPE provided, including steel-toed boots, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection. Operating on the first shift with plans to expand to additional shifts, the environment offers opportunities for overtime with 10-hour shifts possible as operations increase. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
