Asphalt and concrete upcycling yard in Oakland is hiring for general laborers. This is a high traffic yard with dump trucks and heavy equipment operators. The laborers will be looking through the dumped asphalt and by-products to be then upcycled into different product for customers to be made into such as peak gravel, drain rock, base rock, etc. They will be sorting through this on the large industrial conveyor system (this is not like a production conveyor system) that is the remains coming out of heavy machinery like the \"jaw crusher\". The conveyor belt is past the magnet and has a picking station for the laborers. They will be in the elements, muddy, can be dusty, etc. They will be wearing full PPE - a ventilated mask, hard hat, glasses, gloves, and steel toed boots. This is a Construction Zone. Attention to detail is import. Each product is unique and the price point can be high. They will be trained on what to look for to remove like watching for wood and rebar. Will be trained on hazardous material with asbestos.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
