**Job Title: General Laborer**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a General Laborer, where you will begin with cleaning and sanitation duties at a flour mill. Over time, you will receive cross-training in packing, milling, and other areas. Initially, everyone starts with cleaning for the first 30-60 days, ensuring the plant meets safety standards by sweeping up flour dust and performing equipment blowdown. After three months, you may transition into the warehouse or mill, with a rotating schedule based on needs and interests.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform general cleaning and sanitation tasks in a flour mill.
+ Sweep up flour dust and maintain plant cleanliness to meet safety standards.
+ Conduct blowdown, cleaning dust off equipment, and sweeping it up.
+ Follow lock out/tag out procedures when cleaning inside equipment.
+ Transition into warehouse or mill duties after three months based on needs and interest.
**Essential Skills**
+ Production and cleaning experience.
+ Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
+ Strong attention to detail and desire for career growth.
+ Comfortable using computers for data entry.
+ Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Interest in learning a trade such as milling.
+ Previous experience with 12-hour rotating shifts.
+ Experience in baking, cooking, palletizing, quality inspection, forklift operation, materials handling, and machine operation.
+ Strong math aptitude, ability to keep count, and proficiency in reading and writing.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a flour mill facility that processes wheat for retail grocery stores. The environment involves working around flour dust, loud machines, and high temperatures that may reach up to 115 degrees in the summer. Safety is paramount, requiring adherence to safe food handling practices, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, hard hats, and steel-toed footwear. The facility spans 13 floors, and daily work involves navigating slippery surfaces and stairs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, Washington.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.83 - $18.83/hr.
