1st Shift General Labor AssociateJob Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Labor Associate to support daily plant operations at our Anaerobic Digestion facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient handling and processing of organic waste materials. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport routine plant operations, including material handling and basic equipment monitoring.Unload incoming organic waste, including depalletizing and unpackaging materials as required.Inspect incoming loads and accurately sort organic materials and contaminants in accordance with company procedures.Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, sweeping, power washing, debris/snow removal, and routine sanitation of equipment and work areas.Complete entry-level maintenance activities and promptly identify and report safety or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).Provide operational support to machine operators, maintenance mechanics, customers, and other team members as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager to support smooth and efficient facility operations.Required Skills & QualificationsExperience in general labor, production, warehouse operations, receiving/shipping, or material handling.Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, packing, cleaning, and equipment operation.High school diploma or GED required.Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools.Understanding of workplace safety practices and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in waste management, recycling, manufacturing, or an industrial setting.Work Environment

This position is based at our state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion facility in Jessup, MD. The General Labor Associate (Tipping Floor Technician) will be responsible for receiving and processing both liquid and solid organic waste materials that are converted into renewable natural gas. The role involves working around heavy equipment, vehicles, and industrial systems in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Jessup, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
