**Job Title: General Foreman** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled General Foreman to oversee our work on a recently started Data Center project in York, SC. This is the first phase of a multi-phase project expected to last close to 10 years. The role involves managing large labor crews, specifically overseeing laborers and carpenters on site. This position is ideal for a candidate who excels in people management and is either a low-level Superintendent or a high-level Labor Foreman. The role offers growth potential as the project continues to expand. **Responsibilities** + Coordinate trade contractors to ensure the project stays on schedule. + Maintain strict adherence to contract documents. + Lead safety efforts in the field and conduct safety orientations. + Stay informed of all field activities and monitor work compliance with the work plan. + Maintain daily reports and documentation. + Enforce safety and quality control policies. + Attend and participate in project meetings. + Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors, and unions by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment. **Essential Skills** + At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with large-scale projects such as data centers. + Strong labor management skills, overseeing between 15-20 laborers and carpenters on site. + Leadership capabilities to direct tasks on site and lead the jobsite. + Construction management and supervision experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Prolog. + Construction document and drawing literacy, with knowledge of all phases of construction. + Experience in work methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control. + OSHA 30-hour certification. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management. + 0-2 years of experience in a General Foreman/Superintendent role on construction projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Strong technical and communication skills. + Excellent organizational skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. **Why Work Here?** Join one of the largest general contractors in the country with a rapidly growing self-performance division.
