How you will create an impact

We are seeking a Product Designer to join the Digital Design & Delivery team in defining and driving the future insurance experience for our clients, brokers, and underwriters utilizing responsive design in an agile work environment.

Our ideal candidate has a passion for creating compelling, simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows. As a team member you will lead the product design while collaborating with business sponsors, stakeholders and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design process by employing Figma and our design system to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutionsPartner with CX Research to define approach to identifying user pain points and opportunities. Identify design problems and create intuitive and engaging customer experiences.Collaborate with global technology, product and business teams to balance user needs with business goals.Review and analyze and ensure quality design requirementsDesign within existing standards and contributing to our design system and help develop scalable patterns and components that follow AIG Brand standards and universal design principlesManage and present project deliverables along with design rationale.Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.

What you will need to succeed

Some product design experience taking ownership, driving understanding, and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start-to-finishBachelor’s Degree preferably in a relevant design discipline, certification or equivalent work experienceSelf-starter capable of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions on their own  Well-versed in responsive web design and mobile/native platform, and an aptitude for exploring new technologies and methodologies Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high-energy and mission-driven colleagues. Exposure to product design practices like ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing and design principlesGood organization, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and design principles Strong writing, editing, and communication skillsExperience working within and contributing to an established design systemExpertise in design tools such as FigmaFamiliar with front-end technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSSPortfolio of work strongly preferred; demonstrating strategic design thinkingInsurance or Banking experience (a plus, but not required)
