You will represent and communicate data requirements to help us understand our data assets and the relationships among them. You will investigate, analyze and scope data requirements to support the development of data integration, data retrieval and reusable data sets.
How you will contribute

Analyze business requirements as a guide for data modeling and apply data analysis, design, modeling, and quality assurance techniques, based on a detailed understanding of business processes, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitionsAdvise on the details of data structures and associated componentsManage the iteration, review and maintenance of data requirements and data models and you will assist in creating the sematic layer of dataHave cross-functional understanding to create reusable data assetsChoose a suitable data modeling approach for each project, such as by assessing the suitability of existing data models and build data models with the flexibility to change when business requirements changeReconcile multiple logical source models into a single, logically consistent model and you will ensure that the proposed model follows data architecture guidelines and best practices Rationalize the relationships expressed in the logical data model to the schema of the physical data store (that is, database tables and columns)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated data scientist to join our India Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our data-driven initiatives and be responsible for shaping up and deploying data science and advanced analytics solutions that drives business values for stakeholders.
The role calls for a data scientist with a consulting background, with relevant experience in engaging with business teams to formulate and deliver on business problems. It will involve mapping business problems to a formal data science and/or advanced analytics solution, working with wide range of structured and unstructured data, architecture design, creating sophisticated models, setting up operations for the product with the support from DevOps and MLOps team and facilitating business workshops. Expectations of the successful candidate will be that of a data scientist with experience in consulting business teams. Beyond the technical skillset, independent communication and problem-solving in complex set-up will be key to the success for this role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data and platform engineers, and product managers to understand key business problems and translate them into data science and/or advanced analytics opportunities.Map complex business problems to data science problem, design data science solution using GCP/Azure Databricks platform.Deliver Test & Learn (T&L) of new capabilities based in business needs with clear path to production. Collaborate with product teams to bring to industrialization upon T&L completion.Own product deployment of advanced analytics and data science solutions for India BU.Support any Big Data and Data Science related insights and business recommendations either through development of new capabilities or adhoc data & insight exploration.Stay up to date with the latest AI / ML trends, technologies and industry-wide applications & use-cases.
Job Specific Requirements:
Brings 5+ years of deep data science experience and 2+ years in consultingRelevant experience in Consumer / Marketing and Supply Chain data science and advanced analytics capabilitiesExperience in delivery end to end data science life cycle activitiesStrong knowledge of hypothesis building, exploratory data analysis and insights deliveryStrong knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques in a in a clouds-based environment such as GCP, Azure, AmazonExperience with programming languages such as Python, R, SparkExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and D3.jsStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principlesUnderstanding towards GenAI models and techniques, with exposure on design and deliveryUnderstand MLOps concepts and has experience in product industrialization (from data science point of view). Experience in building products for live deployment, i.e. CI/CD.Experience with GCP platforms and services such as Big Query, Cloud ML Engine, and Cloud StorageExperience with project management activities and following through on project charters.Experience in business consultancy / partnering to support delivery of projectsSelf-driven, be able to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, adaptability to the changing business needs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to communicate with business stakeholders independently.Others skills to be successful in the role:
