Job Description SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the activities of gears manufacturing processes. She/He will take full responsibility of the assigned hardware, developing the manufacturing plan and/or optimizing the existing one to achieve the required targets in terms of process feasibility and robustness, product quality, product cost and capacity sustainment. She/He will also analyze quality KPI for the improvement plan of the assigned P/N.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities     

Support concurrent engineering activities with the design engineers and/or with the customer

Define tooling/router design effort between external suppliers and Avio Aero Manufacturing Engineer

Drive suppliers of tooling during all steps from the concept to the functional test and related validation

Manage design and process reviews, to monitor the status of industrialization/ improvement plan for the assigned P/N.

Support operating personnel during the production of the first batch

Manage the technical validation according with internal procedures

Identify processes optimization to be implemented

Support Customer Quality Engineering for the anomaly report submitted to Customer and sustain Customer review of the proposed improvement plan

Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process

Develop and consolidate best practices and standards for gears manufacturing

Qualifications/Requirements

Master Degree in Mechanical is a plus or Industrial Technical Diploma with experience in aerospace manufacturing.

Basics of gears manufacturing and of NDT

Basics of metrology principles applied to geometrical tolerances

Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions

Ability to manage activities simultaneously

Strong organizational skills

Previous experience of work in a matrix organization

Italian and English fluent

Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required.

Experience in manufacturing Gears and mechanical parts is a plus

Strong oral and written communication skills

Prior experience with Flight Deck
