Position Summary

In your role as a Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Controls Engineer you'll focus on comprehensively owning, maintaining, supporting, and improving specialty and bulk gas and chemical Industrial Control Systems at Samsung.

You'll also be responsible for reviewing vendor design packages, engineering support systems, and coordinating the startup and commissioning of newly installed equipment. Along with interact with the on-site Equipment Engineering teams and Operations & Maintenance Technician teams to support Control Systems for Chemical, Gas, and Slurry operations.

Lastly, you will support and be the main point of contact with equipment vendors for all electrical and programming related items.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Supporting T1 Commissioning of Gas,Chem and Slurry systems.

Support SCADA integration at T1 site for equipment monitoring.

Inspection of equipment SL1 and SL2.

Work with equipment vendor to perform system check and guide them for Samsung Standards.

Work as a Liaison to understand GCS needs and convey that with vendors for equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer Understanding and Programming knowledge of PLC and HMI.

At least 2 years of Controls/Automation Experience.

Immediate availability.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
