This position follows a hybrid rotation model:
Week 1
• Outpatient clinic 4 days per week
• One day per week:
• Virtual clinic (Morning)
• Administrative time (Afternoon)
Week 2
• Inpatient coverage at Lake Norman Hospital
• 6 virtual patient visits daily, Monday through Friday
No night or weekend call responsibilities. Providers participate in coverage for one inpatient holiday shift per year.
Pay Range

Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to support our growing practice. This hybrid role combines outpatient clinic care, inpatient coverage at Lake Norman Hospital, and virtual care responsibilities within a collaborative, physician-led team environment.
Position Highlights
• 100% Adult Medicine
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Hybrid rotation model
• ½ day administrative time built into schedule
• Combination of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities
• Average patient volume of ~14 patients/day
• Opportunity to practice within a collaborative, physician-led model
• No nights or weekends
• One inpatient holiday coverage per year
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology and hepatology care in clinic and inpatient settings
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage follow-up care
• Perform inpatient consults and participate in rounding when covering service
• Manage virtual clinic patient visits
• Perform procedures including PEG tube exchanges/placements (endoscopy setting)
• Collaborate closely with physicians, APP colleagues, and nursing staff
• Participate in shared coverage structure as assigned
Practice Environment
Mooresville Location: 1 Physician and 1 APP
Huntersville Support Team: 2 Physicians and 3 APP's
Larger Division Network: 32 Physicians and 38 APP's

Minimum Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice
• Active RN license
• National board certification
• Acute Care certification required based on population served
OR
Physician Assistant
• Graduate of accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification required
Licensure
• Eligible for or active North Carolina license
Experience
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience required
• Interest or experience in general Gastroenterology and Hepatology care preferred
