**Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Furnace Operator to join our team. This role involves working as a Shop Helper, assisting Furnace Operators in completing customer heat treating orders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing workloads for furnace runs, inspecting and organizing parts, and ensuring smooth operations within the facility. **Responsibilities** + Prepare workloads for furnace runs. + Receive and inspect parts for quality. + Prepare and load parts into fixtures or baskets for furnace operations. + Use manual pallet jacks to move racking systems and baskets of parts throughout the facility. + Organize parts on racking systems by serial or part numbers. + Package finished parts and prepare them for the shipping department. + Move materials between manufacturing facilities manually or with pallet jacks. + Clean finished parts when necessary. + Ensure that all work areas are clean and organized at all times and perform basic maintenance when needed. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. + Basic computer skills. + Strong organizational skills. + Mechanical aptitude. + Strong attendance track record. + Capability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing facility. + Ability to stand throughout the shift. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a General Production Worker, General Laborer, Shop Helper, or Machine Operator. + Experience in sorting, packaging, loading, unloading, and working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. **Work Environment** You will be working in a mid-sized heat treating and manufacturing facility equipped with multiple vacuum furnaces. These facilities allow us to treat metals for industries including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Automotive, and Power Generation. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
