**Job Title: Furnace Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Furnace Operator with a background in welding, fabrication, or mechanical/electrical troubleshooting in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and have experience with machine setup and breakdown. Forklift experience is a plus, and candidates from a heavy manufacturing are preferred.
**Responsibilities**
+ Flame cut bulk weldable material to size and assemble barwelds using MIG welding.
+ Follow procedures and guidelines for using equipment to cut metal with propylene and oxygen or plasma torches.
+ Setup material on a water bed in a torch booth and plan jobs to preserve material.
+ Maintain material traceability per procedure.
+ Assemble barwelds from raw materials, ensuring proper identification of barwelds and materials used.
+ Make minor repairs or adjustments to equipment and tagout for maintenance as needed.
+ Change out gas bottles or cradles as required.
+ Operate material handling equipment safely.
+ Complete all shop floor data paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area, observing necessary safety precautions.
+ Train in firefighting techniques to contain titanium fires.
+ Communicate necessary information to relief employees about equipment, material, safety, tools, and PPE requirements.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement programs and provide input on quality, equipment, training, and operation issues.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in welding, fabrication, or mechanical/electrical troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
+ Focus on safety for self and others.
+ Machine setup and breakdown experience.
+ Forklift experience is beneficial.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $33.10 - $33.10/hr.
