**Job Title: Furnace Operator - 8th Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Furnace Operator for the 8th shift to perform various cleaning, inspection, and monitoring operations essential for the setup of a vacuum atomization furnace. The role involves tasks before, during, and after the atomization process to ensure high-quality operations. **Responsibilities** + Perform cleaning quality inspections and assist in the setup of a vacuum atomization furnace. + Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks. + Assist in preparing raw material charges and operate the furnace control board. + Make minor repairs on the furnace, atomization chamber, and auxiliary equipment. + Carry out housekeeping duties and assist in the removal and replacement of the furnace lid and coils. + Clean the interior of the furnace chamber and 'O' ring seal. + Transport raw material charges to the charge area and assist with gas, electric, and water line attachments. + Utilize an electric hoist to remove and replace the furnace lid. + Clean inside of crucibles, patch cracks, and perform repair tasks prior to the next run. + Adhere to CORE and EH&S guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment. + Perform tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of the position. + Work overtime when needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in a production setting as a general production worker, machine operator, or plant laborer. + Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. + Reliable transportation for timely arrival at work. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + U.S. Person or eligible for necessary export authorizations. + Ability to work from heights up to 60 feet. + Capability to wear a respirator. + Physical ability to bend, lift, squat, twist, reach overhead, stand for long periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs independently. **Why Work Here?** We offer excellent benefits including health, vision, dental, leave, PTO, and profit sharing/stock buying options.
