FactSet’s Global Fund Analytics team is dedicated to making FactSet the global leader in institutional-level fund analysis. With a focus on quality and expertise in all facets of fund exposures, costs, and risks, Global Fund Analytics serves as FactSet’s in-house fund experts. The Global Fund Analytics team is poised to be a center of innovation and growth within FactSet.
The Fund Specialist will apply investment knowledge and primary source research to classify funds, and to write descriptive reports on Exchange-Traded Funds and Mutual Funds investment strategies. The position requires at times problem solving and critical thinking skills to ensure consistent, unbiased classification of funds and contribute to system enhancements. This position will serve as a subject matter expert on fund classification for the FactSet Manila office. As the Fund Specialist advances, s/he will be expected to train junior team members.
What You'll Do
Classify funds using FactSet’s proprietary methodology
Compose overview of fund characteristics
Compose brief fund descriptions
Respond to client queries on classifications and overview text
Demonstrate continuous learning of fund classifications and evaluation
Actively share ideas towards process and output improvements
Independent management of the workload assigned within stipulated timeline
Report and consult team mentor/leader/manager for any and all work-related questions and concerns
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance, Business-related equivalents OR Degree in Communication, Journalism equivalents
Strong written English language communication skills
Attention to detail and diligence to task
Ability to collaborate and to reach out for clarification and feedback from supervisors
Willingness to work with remote managers
Willingness to undergo training for 3-5 months in a GY Shift (10:00pm-6:00am)
Working schedule after the training is Mid-shift
Include a formal cover letter along with your resume/CV narrating your interest and qualifications for the role
Desired Skills
CFA or progress towards CFA is strongly preferred
Experience in and understanding one or more of the following: ETFs, Mutual Funds
