Fund Controller Job ID 228034 Posted 15-Jul-2025 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) New York City - New York - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE fund controller, you will be responsible for the preparation of reporting and coordination of client equity contributions and distributions. This job is part of the Controlling job function. They are responsible for the Management of the organization's financial controls and the preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders. **What You’ll Do:** + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and other client reporting. + Compile and evaluate financial data. Perform detailed reviews of monthly and regular reports. Assist with reviewing periodic P&L calculations. + Operate the daily activities of the treasury, cash management, and accounting functions of the portfolio. + Verify bank account reconciliations and post journal entries and money-movement transactions. Ensure all transactions are properly posted to the accounting system. + Coordinate with banks and financial institutions. Handle the financing arrangements and execution of loan agreements. + Troubleshoot issues and ensures internal and external customer requests are managed timely, accurately, and with a focus on customer service. + Participate in systems testing and implementation-related tasks. + Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. + Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. + Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams. + Work within broad guidelines and policies. + Explain difficult or sensitive information. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. + Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. Why CBRE? CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the fund controller position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the fund controller position is $130,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
