**Our client, a global leader in industrial automation solutions, is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer – Functional Safety to join their team.**
As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Safety Systems Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully within the organization.

**What’s the Job?**
+ Lead the design, development, and validation of complex mixed-signal electronic hardware systems for safety-critical applications.
+ Collaborate with embedded software engineers to ensure safety-critical hardware-software interaction.
+ Conduct hazard analysis, FMEDA, FTA, and perform reliability testing for robust product design.
+ Work with certification bodies to ensure compliance with Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508).
+ Implement redundancy, fail-safe mechanisms, and diagnostic features in hardware products.
**What’s Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related STEM field + 8 years’ experience (or Master’s + 7 years).
+ Strong knowledge of Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508).
+ Experience in safety-critical electronic system design with fault detection and mitigation techniques.
+ Proficiency with PCB design tools and hardware simulation software.
+ Experience with EMC, thermal, and environmental testing for safety-critical systems.
