Location: Horten or Trondheim
Type: Full-time, Permanent
A leading technology company is building its next-generation cloud-based simulation and training platform and is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the team. This is an opportunity to work on modern, cloud-first products used globally within a highly specialised and forward‑thinking domain.
About the Role
You will join a multidisciplinary team working on a scalable cloud platform that integrates simulation services, analytics, user management, and subscription systems. The role involves both back-end and front-end development, with a strong emphasis on cloud architecture, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities
* Develop full-stack features using C#/.NET and React
* Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure
* Integrate services for authentication, subscription management, telemetry, and analytics
* Contribute to the design and development of REST and GraphQL APIs
* Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing using modern DevOps tooling
* Collaborate with UX designers, domain experts, and product managers to deliver intuitive user interfaces
* Ensure security, performance, and maintainability across the platform
Required Experience
* Strong full-stack development background
* Backend: C#/.NET
* Frontend: React (experience with Angular or Vue is also valuable)
* Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Azure
* Solid understanding of microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
* Good understanding of secure coding and cloud security practices
* Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
Desirable Skills
* Experience with simulation systems or training technology
* Exposure to data analytics or telemetry pipelines
