AI Architect — Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise‑grade AI solutions built on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will partner with data science, engineering, security, and business teams to architect scalable, secure, and compliant AI systems that support our strategic banking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design end‑to‑end AI and machine learning architectures using Azure services (Azure ML, Cognitive Services, OpenAI, AKS, Event Hubs, Data Factory, Synapse).Lead the implementation of GenAI and LLM solutions, ensuring alignment with bank‑wide governance, security, and MRM standards.Define architecture patterns, reference models, and best practices for AI development and operationalization.Partner with data engineering teams to ensure strong data foundations, including feature stores, pipelines, and real‑time data integrations.Collaborate with security, risk, compliance, and cloud governance to ensure AI solutions meet all regulatory and policy requirements.Support model deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management, and MLOps automation within Azure.Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural oversight across AI initiatives.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in AI/ML architecture, data platforms, or cloud engineering.Deep hands‑on knowledge of Azure AI & ML ecosystem.Strong understanding of GenAI/LLM architectures, vector databases, prompt engineering, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).Experience with MLOps and productionizing models at scale.Ability to work within highly regulated environments and apply security, compliance, and governance principles.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.Familiarity with model risk management frameworks and AI governance controls.Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer).
