Maintains established metrics for accuracy and performance to meet the needs of store orders. Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures. **What you will do:** + Collects and reads store orders that include item location, descriptions, and quantity. + Electronic System to locate and select items / Ensure accuracy in picking items. + Gathers the required cases of merchandise and transfers cases to pallets or conveyers using safe lifting techniques. + Arrange selected item on pallet securely and efficiently. + Demonstrates ability to operate power equipment and perform preliminary safety checks of equipment. + Ensures pallet security with tape and shrink wrap. + Maintains a safe and clean working environment by following safety guidelines. + Performs general housekeep to ensure working area and aisles are clear of debris. + Participates in training for other warehouse duties. + Carries out area strategy to maintain performance metric standards. **Required Qualifications:** + Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time. + Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.). + Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision. + Ability to read, write, and count accurately. + Good written and verbal communication skills. + Attention to detail for order accuracy. + Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally (courteous and cordial). + Basic computer skills. + Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Proven ability to be a collaborator who is comfortable working in a team-based environment. + Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service. + Ability to act competently in emergencies. + Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. + Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems. + Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation. + Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance. + Has a sense of organization and cleanliness regarding work area. + Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS) is a plus. + 0-2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred. + **Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/senior leadership.** **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent required **Pay Range:** The typical pay range for this role is: $16.00 - $30.14.
