Job Description
Join our dynamic Freight Audit Billing (FAB) team responsible for handling manual and automated billing for 23-24 overseas countries. The billing cycle is weekly, with each analyst assigned a specific country to manage. This role involves running scripts, adjusting information, and ensuring accurate billing audits while adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
ResponsibilitiesProvide internal and external support for transportation and logistics services outside of the US.Manage the billing process according to customer requirements, including coordinating shipments from offshore locations.Set up new business and coordinate with sales, offshore locations, customers, and third parties.Document requirements and SOPs to ensure alignment with customer needs.Audit shipments and invoices against customer requirements and tariffs.Analyze shipment documentation for compliance with SOPs and execute billing processes.Perform data entry and billing in the transport management system.Research and resolve accounting issues and complex transactional items.Act as a primary point of contact for third-party billing requests.Coordinate with various departments and escalate issues with recommendations when necessary.Assist in other tasks as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, concatenate, and SUMif functions.2-3+ years of billing experience, or less with strong Excel skills.Familiarity with freight invoices, freight bills, logistics, SAP, and multiple computer systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in freight forwarding or general understanding of air, land, ocean, and rail transportation processes.Comfort with using multiple computer programs and systems.Curiosity and understanding of operational processes.Strong communication skills, especially when working across different time zones.Associates degree is ideal but not required.Work Environment
You will work in a collaborative team environment, engaging with colleagues through Teams chat channels. The role involves in-office work twice a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) with a standard work schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including an hour lunch break. Occasionally, overtime may be required. You will be provided with a company laptop and two monitors to facilitate your duties effectively.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.52 - $28.00/hr.
