Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Administrator to support reporting and compliance functions within a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) environment. The role involves preparing documentation, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in supply chain logistics, customs, and international trade.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare FTZ-related data and supporting documentation for submission of forms to CBP on a daily and weekly basis.
+ Assist with CBP valuation, classification, and reporting issues.
+ Review daily FTZ Variance Reports.
+ Support FTZ operations with tariff risk mitigation efforts.
+ Execute post entry summary corrections.
+ Operate FTZ ICRS by managing daily inventory balances and monitoring zone admission data.
+ Conduct weekly estimates for import and export processes.
+ Collaborate with distribution centers to resolve inventory issues and verify transactions.
+ Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
+ Ensure proper FTZ procedures for inbound receipts and CBP clearance of goods.
+ Assist in risk management by reviewing CBP documentation and auditing FTZ transactions.
+ Collaborate with brokerage, information management, compliance, and inbound logistics teams.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain logistics/distribution or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs and international trade-related issues.
+ Experience in inventory control and warehousing.
+ Knowledge of US FTZ program and CBP compliance best practices.
+ Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and comprehend complex issues.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Current customs broker’s license preferred, but not required.
+ Power BI, OneSource, Integration Point, and SAP experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This role operates within a dynamic environment involving inventory control systems and logistics activities, including import and export processes. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and efficient operations. Work hours may vary, and the ability to manage deadlines is crucial.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
