Job Title: Framing Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented framing carpenter with expertise in metal stud framing to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale commercial projects and be proficient in reading blueprints, installing metal framing systems, and collaborating with other trades to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities

Install metal stud framing for walls, ceilings, soffits, and bulkheads according to project specifications and building codes.Interpret and work from architectural and structural drawings.Measure, cut, and assemble metal studs using hand and power tools.Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and secure fastening of framing components.Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to coordinate workflow.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards.Troubleshoot and resolve framing-related issues on-site.Assist with layout and material planning for framing tasks.

Essential Skills

Proven experience in commercial metal stud framing.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Proficiency with framing tools and equipment.Strong understanding of construction safety practices.Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certification in OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety training (optional).Experience with drywall installation and finishing.Familiarity with fire-rated assemblies and acoustic systems.Previous work on healthcare, retail, or office build-outs.
