Job Title: Frame Mechanic
Job Description

As a Frame Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a range of duties including frame straightening, alignments, suspension repair, brake repair, and trailer straightening. You will be involved in installing, fabricating, and repairing truck accessories like tippers, flatbeds, hook lifts, and plows. The role requires working independently and collaboratively within the paint department on heavy trucks. Additional tasks include welding, body work, panel replacements, prepping for paint, masking, sanding, patching, and executing electrical wiring, grinding, and other duties as assigned.

ResponsibilitiesPerform frame straightening and alignments.Conduct suspension and brake repairs.Engage in trailer straightening and frame work.Install, fabricate, and repair truck accessories including tippers, flatbeds, hook lifts, and plows.Collaborate in the paint department on heavy trucks.Execute welding, body work, panel replacements, and prepping for paint.Perform electrical wiring, grinding, and other assigned duties.Work with hand and power tools for product fabrication.Engage in mechanic work and hydraulics.Essential Skills1+ year of mechanic or installation experience on industrial trucks.Proficient welding skills with over 1 year of experience.Experience with electrical hookups on truck equipment.Hydraulic experience is required.Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Forklift experience is mandatory.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust have own small hand tools.Possess own tools and tool box for use at the shop.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a large job shop comprising multiple buildings and garages. Each mechanic is provided with their own bay. While the space can be loud and warm during summer months, overhead doors are opened for ventilation and air flow. Dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
