Essential Duties

To Process parts in penetrant dye and visual inspection to evaluate welds and brackets for cracks using industry standards as well as Customer Specific specifications and following ALW's OAP750 procedure.  Must be able to follow direction and work diligently while maintaining high standards.

Training

Training is minimum 400 hours plus 32 hours book training, unless previously qualified.Trainees work under the direct supervision of a Level 2, Level 3, or instructor in the same method.  Trainees do not independently conduct tests or make, accept or reject decisions.  Trainees will be documented in a training program and training must be completed within 6 months to be certified to Level 2.

Physical Requirements

NEAR VISION:  Snellen 20/25 or Jaeger #1 may be used due to their equivalence.  Jaeger #1 test chart at not less than 12" or equivalent, or Snellen 20/25 at 16 inches, with one eye, either natural or corrected.COLOR PERCEPTION:  Distinguish and differentiate between the colors red/green which are used in the method used at ALW.Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds to process parts.

Additional Qualifications:

Excellent attendance and dependability with attention to detail.

Experience:

Experience in NDT or the aerospace industry is a plus but not necessary.
