Job Title: FPGA Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to enhance existing designs, add new features, and develop a new variant of our platform. The role involves significant design work, including the reuse of existing components and some development from scratch. Depending on your experience, you may focus on creating new logic or primarily work with existing designs.

ResponsibilitiesConduct FPGA design using Xilinx devices and Cadence for simulation.Develop and maintain code in SystemVerilog.Modify test cases and perform debugging.Collaborate on feature additions and platform variants.Essential SkillsProficiency in FPGA design, particularly with Xilinx devices and Cadence simulation.Strong coding skills in SystemVerilog.Experience in modifying test cases and debugging designs.Familiarity with simulation environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with synthesis, timing constraints, and timing analysis.10–15 years of experience preferred, though candidates with fewer years will be considered.Knowledge of Verilog, VHDL, scripting, and high-speed digital design.Familiarity with hardware programming languages such as Python and C++.Experience with Vivado, DSP, PCIe, firmware, and digital design.Work Environment

You will be working on the FPGA team alongside a few other designers and expert verification engineers. The work involves dealing with optical switches and interfacing with multiple components. The environment is collaborative, focusing on innovation in photonics to enhance cloud, networking, and advanced manufacturing applications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nepean, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $100.00/hr.
