FP&A Finance Manager

Job Description:

The Financial Manager – Overhead & MGS Cost Allocation is responsible for planning, monitoring & optimizing the central OHD MGS cost as well as the charge back / allocation cost of MGS to segments. This role ensures strong cost governance, financial transparency, and equitable cost allocation while supporting operational leaders with data-driven financial insights. The position plays a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, chargeback execution, and continuous improvement initiatives across shared service functions.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead the annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for MGS overhead expenses.

Develop and maintain detailed cost models for indirect expenses including labor, facilities, IT, vendors, and shared services.

Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and forecast; provide clear explanations and corrective actions.

Cost Control, Optimization & Chargebacks/Allocation

Own the MGS cost chargeback/allocation model, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent allocation of costs to business units.

Define, document, and maintain chargeback drivers, allocation keys, and methodologies in alignment with corporate finance standards.

Partner with stakeholders to ensure chargeback mechanisms are well understood and consistently applied.

Monitor and manage overhead spending to ensure alignment with financial targets and efficiency goals.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive productivity and efficiency initiatives across MGS central functions.

Reporting & Governance

Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, dashboards, and chargeback statements for MGS leadership and business units.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance requirements.

Support internal and external audits related to overhead central functions and cost allocation.

Business Partnering

Act as a trusted finance partner to MGS central OHD leaders and segment finance teams, providing insights to support operational and strategic decisions.

Proactively communicate financial performance, chargeback impacts, and cost drivers to stakeholders.

Support business cases for investments, headcount changes, and transformation initiatives, including chargeback implications.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CMA preferred).

5–8+ years of progressive finance experience, with strong exposure to overhead cost management and cost allocation/chargeback models.

Prior experience in an MGS, shared services, or matrixed global organization preferred.

Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
