Take your place on our strong team and help us make significant contributions to the world. **Location:** Mita/Tokyo or Yokohama **Reports To:** FP&A Associate Manager **Position Summary:** The position is a key role to lead all FP&A activities for one of business divisions of Analytical Instrument Group (AIG) in Thermo Fisher scientific in Japan. As a strategic business partner, the position will closely work with a senior director level Commercial/Service Leader in Japan as well as global Finance counterparts for assigned business divisions and contributes to the business divisions’ performance improvement by providing insightful financial analysis and support for execution. **Job Responsibilities** Support leading and managing financial planning and review processes: + Forecast, track, analyze revenue and P/L as well as preparing monthly/quarterly business review package + Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variance + Communicate with Commercial/Service Leader for financial performance + Measure and identify opportunities to improve financial performance + Support preparing annual operating plan, monthly and mid-term forecasts, and long-term strategic plan + Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives + Perform complex financial analysis to support management decision making process + Liaise with Global division/Commercial/Finance and APAC Commercial/Finance teams **Attributes/Skills** + Strong business acumen + Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization in multi-national companies + Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and has change management experience + A self-starter with highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized + Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated + Ability to influence activities of peers + Do not hesitate to work on details of complexed system-oriented issues with can-do attitude supported by high intellectual curiosity **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or equivalent knowledge + 2+ years experiences in FP&A or Commercial Finance roles + Thorough understanding in financial accounting + Strong command in English and Japanese + Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP/Oracle) and analytical tools (e.g. Hyperion) is a plus Candidates who do not have prior finance-related experience may still be considered if they demonstrate proficiency in Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables), business-level or above fluency in Japanese and English, and strong communication capabilities.
