PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
This individual plays a pivotal role in advancing the Foundation’s mission by leading global fundraising strategy, operational oversight, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role oversees the Foundation’s core programs—the CARES Fund and the Transplant Fund—while driving the development of scalable, global systems for fundraising, grantmaking, and impact reporting.
As the Foundation expands internationally, this role will lead the globalization of infrastructure, ensuring all tools, processes, and policies are designed to support international compliance, data management, and stakeholder engagement.
Foundation Operations & Governance:Lead and manage all operational aspects of the Foundation, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with strategic goals.Oversee implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the donor management system (Salesforce NPSP), including global configurations and integrations (e.g., donation processing, multilingual forms, currency support, impact reporting).Work with external vendors and accounting partners to ensure accurate, compliant tax filings (including IRS Form 990 and state-specific requirements).Drive the Foundation’s annual audit in coordination with internal and external partners.Collaborate with the Salesforce nonprofit implementation partner to maintain accurate global data tracking, segmentation, and reporting capabilities.Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reporting materials for the Board of Directors, Advisory Committee, and other stakeholders.CARES Fund Management:Oversee the CARES Fund, including managing the vendor relationship and continuous program improvement.Develop and execute inclusive fundraising strategies targeting employees globally, with localized approaches. Engage regularly with the MB Sponsors and Global Fundraising Committee for input and awareness building.Ensure employee stories and data are managed with privacy compliance while supporting global communications efforts that promote awareness and engagement.Collaborate with HR to ensure equitable access to the CARES Fund and remove barriers to global participation, especially in times of natural disaster or conflicts.Transplant Fund Oversight:Lead management of the Transplant Fund, including oversight of the grant Advisory Committee and alignment with strategic priorities.Establish and grow partnerships with kidney transplant organizations globally, expanding the reach and impact of the Foundation’s grantmaking.Guide grant applicants through the process, supporting them through execution, milestone tracking, compliance, and reporting.Drive fundraising strategies tailored to a broader global audience, where appropriate.General Fundraising and Development:Lead the development and execution of a global fundraising strategy that supports both the CARES Fund and Transplant Fund.Ensure all donor engagement systems and processes are scalable and compliant with international regulations (e.g., partner with internal/external SMEs on GDPR, data residency, cross-border donations).Cultivate internal and external relationships across multiple regions and cultures, strengthening the Foundation’s visibility and engagement with employees worldwide.Analyze and report on fundraising performance globally, adapting strategies for different geographies and audiences.Compliance & Reporting:Ensure compliance with U.S. and international nonprofit regulations related to fundraising, grantmaking, and donor engagement.Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of donations, grant allocations, decisions, and governance processes.Lead the globalization of internal systems and workflows—ensuring policies, financial controls, and data reporting scale with international operations.Collaborate with the communications team to align global messaging strategies with legal, cultural, and audience-specific requirements.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical, project management, and strategic planning abilities.Experience managing grant programs, including international applicant vetting, committee coordination, and milestone tracking.10+ years of experience in nonprofit or corporate philanthropy leadership, with demonstrated experience in global program expansion and infrastructure development.Expertise in nonprofit operations, regulatory frameworks (U.S. and international), and cross-border fundraising best practices.Strong technical experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and integrated platforms for donor and grant management.Proven track record managing employee and community-facing fundraising campaigns across diverse geographic regions.Experience implementing global processes and systems, including multilingual tools, multicurrency processing, and data compliance (e.g., GDPR).Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams.If your location allows for pay/benefit transparency, please click the link below to request further information on this position.
