Devereux Florida provides programs and services for children and adolescents in the child welfare and foster care system. Based out of Sarasota, FL, this position is responsible for recruitment and initial licensure and re-licensure of foster homes, visiting foster homes, and providing training and support to foster parents.
Position Details:
Salary: Starts at $24.04 - 28.23 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience)
Schedule: Full-Time; community based position-works around families schedules.
Coverage Responsiblity: Sarasota, Manatee, & DeSoto counties

QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field requiredExperience:
Two years experience working with foster families preferred.Prior foster home licensing experience a plusOther Requirements:
Certification as a Child Welfare Licensing Counselor by the Florida Certification Board OR must be provisionally certified with completion of PRIDE training requiredValid FL driver's license requiredSuccessfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen and TB Test.Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision.Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
