Forklift/Production Worker
Job Title: Production Worker Pay: $23-26 - 1st shift w/OTJob Description

The Production Worker will play a vital role as a dock worker and production associate, responsible for moving empty and full tanks of chlorine manually or with a forklift. This position involves loading, unloading trucks, staging, and handling shipping and receiving materials. The role includes rebuilding valves for tanks, operating equipment to pressurize the valves, and eventually learning how to fill the tanks with chlorine. Additional tasks include cleaning, prepping, and removing old labels from the tanks.

ResponsibilitiesMove empty and full tanks of chlorine manually or with a forklift.Assist in loading and unloading trucks.Handle staging and shipping/receiving of materials.Rebuild valves for chlorine tanks.Operate equipment to pressurize valves onto tanks.Use a forklift to move completed pallets of tanks to staging or shipping areas.Learn to fill tanks with chlorine.Clean, prep, and remove old labels from tanks.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in a production environment, GMP regulated preferred.1+ year of forklift experience.Ability to read a tape measure.Strong ability to follow instructions and take orders.Safety-oriented mindset.Comfortable working with computers, printing labels, and assisting with shipments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in chemical handling and labeling.Familiarity with machine operation and production processes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a chemical plant, typically with the smell of ammonia or chlorine. Protective wear, including face shields, glasses, and full rubber suits, is provided when handling chemicals. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime. Occasionally, employees may be asked to adjust their start and end times to meet specific operational needs, but will typically return to regular hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
