Job Title: Stand Up Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team for the weekend shift, working Friday to Sunday from 7 am to 7:30 pm. This role involves a variety of warehouse activities, including loading, order fulfillment, cycle counting, and put-away tasks. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with a shift differential. Employees are entitled to two 20-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch during their shift.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials using a forklift, ensuring safe and efficient handling.Fulfill orders accurately and in a timely manner.Conduct cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy.Perform put-away tasks and maintain organized storage areas.Possess a complete knowledge of company Good Distribution Practices (GDPs).Count all products and check for damage, infestation, and unique product identifiers such as part numbers and batches.Report any shortages, overages, or damages on appropriate forms.Apply appropriate labels to products.Efficiently stack and store products in a manner that prevents damage.Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area, adhering to company housekeeping policies.Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in operating stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers.Experience with inventory management and cycle counting.Skilled in shipping and receiving processes.Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous forklift experience is required.Familiarity with using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr.
