**Job Title: Forklift Operator pay $19.50/hr** **Shift Availability** + **2nd Shift:** 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM + **3rd Shift:** 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM **Job Summary** The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in daily warehouse and distribution operations by supporting multiple departments within a large distribution center. This position is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment to move, store, stage, and prepare inventory for shipping and receiving. The role supports case picking, order processing, replenishment, returns, and loading functions while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. **Key Responsibilities** + Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport products, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility. + Locate, retrieve, and deliver inventory to designated storage or staging areas using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. + Assist with staging, wrapping, and loading customer orders onto trucks for outbound shipments. + Perform order picking duties using packing lists, ensuring correct items, quantities, and quality standards. + Verify incoming shipments by checking quantities and inspecting product quality against vendor or distribution center documentation. + Inspect inventory for damage, defects, or wear and promptly report discrepancies or issues to management. + Return misplaced or overstocked items to correct storage locations to maintain inventory accuracy. + Perform inventory control tasks such as cycle counts, stock adjustments, and replenishment as required. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards **Essential Skills & Requirements** + Experience using RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory tracking. + Proficiency in forklift operation, pallet jack use, and order picking. + Hands‑on experience with stand‑up/reach trucks, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacks. + Ability to lift and carry up to **50 pounds** in a fast‑paced, physical environment. + Ability to stand for extended periods (60 minutes or more). + Capability to perform repetitive movements, including bending, squatting, reaching, and operating handheld devices or calculators. + **0–2 years** of experience in warehouse, distribution, or material handling roles. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
