Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move products efficiently throughout the distribution area. You will load and unload products accurately in accordance with customer and vendor orders, utilizing various container configurations such as railcars, shipping containers, and trailers. Completing all paperwork accurately and legibly is essential, as is sourcing product inventory for shipment using inventory tracking software.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in forklift operation.Experience with material handling, loading, and unloading.Ability to manage inventory and perform picking tasks.Experience with sit-down forklifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to twist and turn body up to 75% of shift while standing and/or sitting.Must be able to work 8 hours, generally standing 25% and sitting 75%.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse environment that can sometimes be dark, dusty, or dirty. It can be hot and humid in the summer and cold in the winter. The noise level is usually moderate to heavy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44000.00 - $47800.00/yr.

The plant shutdown varies each year based on when the holidays fall but it is always Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day is our shutdown time. President’s Day this year was our floating holiday so that is not always the same.\n\nFor the medical premiums the cost does drop for the following year if they do the biometric screen in October at our on-site wellness fair.
