Machine Operator - 1st Shift
Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join their team in Appleton, WI. As a Forklift Driver, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, enjoy fixing and troubleshooting, and have a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Driver

Location: Appleton, WI

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour - depending on experience

Shift: Monday – Friday from 7:00am-4:30pm with flexibility for early or late hours a few times a week

What's the Job?

Ensure all assigned machine(s) are supplied with lumber, to help eliminate downtime Ensure finished goods are staged or stored after completion in order to maintain efficient material flow Coordinate finished goods storage with supervisors and co-workers Pre-stage materials in the department for easy access and minimal travel time Monitor quality of products generated in the department, if the product does not meet quality standards, notify the lead or supervisor Operate forklift at, or under, posted speed limits at all times and in a safe manner

What's Needed?

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience on forklift in a fast paced environment Able to work well with others and be able to take direction Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations On most occasions will lift 50 pounds or less and on a rare occasion must be able to lift, push and pull objects that are 75 pounds or heavier Must be able to sit, walk, bend and twist for long periods of time throughout the day
