The Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper handling of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods within the warehouse. The operator supports the processes for inbound, outbound, storage, and selection of production work orders, contributing to the high integrity of product quality and food safety.
ResponsibilitiesInspect and verify incoming goods against invoices, complete receiving logs, and store products in designated areas.Ensure products are stored securely and all finished goods are wrapped and input into the PO Follow-up upon receipt.Allocate raw materials or packaging accurately according to production requests, load transfers, and complete documentation in systems.Communicate any concerns within the warehouse to management and team members.Understand and communicate written policies, quality, sanitation, and safety standards.Comply with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements.Label and store ingredients, packaging, and finished pallets at proper holding temperatures and assigned storage locations.Fulfill production ingredient orders and ensure timely and complete delivery.Enter data into PO Update and inventory tracking system accurately.Complete transfers to cold storage locations accurately and timely prior to dispatch.Load customer pickups accurately and timely prior to dispatch.Complete forklift training at hire and every 3 years for continued certification.Maintain regular and consistent punctual attendance.Recognize others and suggest ideas to build team morale.Notify management of any potential food safety or quality issues.Prioritize occupational safety in the warehouse and report any unsafe equipment or behavior.Essential SkillsForklift and pallet jack experience: 1-3 years.Experience in perishable warehouse operations.Forklift Certification, pallet jack certification, and driver's license.Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.Ability to understand written and verbal policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.Proficient with basic math operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsDesirable high school diploma or equivalent.Basic computer skills are a plus.Ability to communicate with management regarding work-related or personal issues.Why Work Here?This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for growth, allowing you to develop professionally and advance your career within a supportive environment.
