Join our team as a Forklift Operator in a dynamic construction firm specializing in timber and hybrid-timber structures. You will play a crucial role in moving materials throughout the yard using a sit-down forklift, and you will be part of an elite team working on a variety of interesting projects.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the yard.Load or unload 2-3 trucks per day, primarily on shipping days.Work outdoors for the majority of the time, with rain gear provided.Spend approximately 60% of the time on the forklift and 40% moving materials around.Lift up to 50 lbs as part of your duties.Essential SkillsForklift certification, legal with WCB.6+ months of forklift experience within an industrial setting, specifically with a Sit Down Counterbalance forklift.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Experience in production, warehouse shipping, and material handling.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with 30K lb Combi Lift, 9K ton Sit Down Forklift, or 4K ton Sit Down forklift is a plus.Takes initiative and is safety-focused.Possesses a good attitude and willingness to help out the team.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our wood fabrication shop is a bustling environment where teamwork and communication are key. With about 50 employees on site, you'll be working outdoors in the yard, so experience with working in the elements is necessary. When not using the forklift, you'll assist with tasks like using nail guns, cutting wood to size, or organizing the workspace. The shift is Monday to Thursday, 4:30 pm to 3:00 am, with 10-hour shifts.
