As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading finished goods, work in process (WIP), and packaging at the plant with minimal supervision. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of products within the facility while adhering to safety standards.
ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload finished goods, WIP, and packaging.Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.Verify shipping documents for accuracy and ensure pallet tags match shipping paperwork.Load the correct product onto trucks by referring to shipping documents.Notify the supervisor if there is insufficient product ready for daily shipments.Report any food safety or quality issues with the product to the supervisor before shipment.Stack and separate any broken bins and move them to outside grounds for repairs.Receive and unload shipments and transfers.Receive and place pallets in appropriate areas.Move product as needed inside the plant.Move product in and out of storage areas.Perform other duties as assigned.Maintain food safety standards and report any observations that compromise food safety control to a supervisor.Essential Skills2-4 years of experience as a forklift operator.RPF forklift certification.Ability to read and verify shipping documents.Experience with RF scanning systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience as a shipping/receiving forklift operator is highly desirable.Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.Why Work Here?Join our team and be part of a dynamic work environment where safety and efficiency are prioritized. Work EnvironmentWork in an onion plant with both indoor and outdoor settings. Steel-toed shoes are required. Bilingual skills are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
