**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The role involves operating a sit-down forklift and utilizing a radio frequency (RF) scanner within a warehouse management system. The position also includes some computer tasks on the dock, such as generating paper/orders for drivers and loading bulk liquids and tankers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move materials to proper departments or areas.
+ Utilize a radio frequency (RF) scanner to track inventory movements.
+ Process daily LTL and parcel shipments.
+ Operate shrink wrap machines.
+ Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, recording shortages, and corresponding with appropriate personnel to rectify issues.
+ Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
+ Perform necessary computer functions to track various aspects of goods.
+ Support the shipment of produced goods and the receipt of goods and supplies for production/storage.
+ Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
+ Ensure an adequate supply of shipping materials is always on hand.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, adhering to prescribed safety regulations.
+ Verify all paperwork against product/materials coming in and out of the facility.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with shipping and receiving, warehouse operation, and inventory control.
+ Proficiency with RF scanners.
+ Experience in loading, warehouse, construction, batching, mixing, fertilizer, machine operation, stacking, labelling, and production.
+ Ability to operate a forklift and perform general production tasks.
+ Experience with chemical handling and general labor.
+ Familiarity with warehouse inventory and ERP systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 1+ year experience in a farm or outdoor work environment, or in a production facility operating machines.
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
+ Capability to stand and perform physical work all day, including overtime.

**Work Environment**
Work in a brand new facility with a team that will grow to 30 members. The dress code is jeans and steel-toe boots. Typical hours are from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, with extended hours during busy seasons. Saturdays are rotated, offering flexibility for those who prefer additional work.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, NE.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
