Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently off-loading and on-loading goods from containers using a propane sit-down counterbalance forklift. This role requires you to operate the forklift for approximately 80% of your shift, ensuring both speed and safety in a busy environment with tight quarters. You will handle varied freight loads, ensuring accurate loading and unloading using paper shipping documents, transitioning to complex digital shipping software in the coming months. The facility is open, requiring adept maneuvering of shipments of all sizes.

Responsibilities

Operate a propane SDCB forklift to load and unload freight from containers.Ensure accurate loading and unloading of products using paper and digital shipping documents.Navigate tight corners and handle small to large shipments safely and efficiently.Adapt to varying shapes and weights of freight, ensuring correct placement and handling.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift in an LTL environment.Valid forklift certification.Proficient computer skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.Reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in LTL.Leadership experience.Experience with Truckmate software.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Strong English communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $24.75 - $25.75/hr.
