Pay Range: $20.90/hr-$23.10/hr

Job Description

This position requires individuals to work entirely outdoors in a lumber yard, similar to environments found in construction, roofing, or landscaping. Candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions, including hot summers and cold winters, as operations continue even with snow on the ground. The role involves operating a sit-down propane forklift and handling materials such as wood flooring, wood decking, and PVC trimming.

Responsibilities

Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move materials.Pick materials such as wood flooring and decking based on a pick sheet.Prepare loads on flatbed trucks for delivery.Work in all weather conditions, including rain and snow.Shovel and plow the yard as necessary.

Essential Skills

Prior experience operating sit-down forklifts.Material handling skills.Proficiency in picking and loading tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in a warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The work environment spans a 14-acre lot with a 50,000 sq ft warehouse. Most of the workday will be spent outdoors, requiring proper attire for varying weather conditions. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with specific hours for each shift, and overtime is expected as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $23.10/hr.
